Star Refrigeration’s eLearning group prepares Italian engineers to gain the European F-Gas Certification
elearning-training.com, the learning arm of Star Refrigeration and Italian training centre Centro Studi Galileo have partnered to offer refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump engineers in Italy the opportunity to prepare for the compulsory European F-Gas qualification, at anytime and from anywhere with an highly interactive online course. The Italian centre will be using the same elearning course that successfully prepared thousands of engineers in the UK and Sweden to to achieve the F-Gas qualification.
The European F-Gas Certification is a legal requirement without which, RACHP engineers are not able to undertake works relating to installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of cooling and heating equipment. In many European countries the certification of engineers has been complete as F-Gas certification became a legal requirement in July 2011, but Italy as other EU countries are only starting the qualification process.
In an attempt to make the training and certification accessible to everyone, Italy’s largest HVACR training provider, Centro Studi Galileo, has signed a licence agreement with elearning-training.com to offer the theory element of the training online. The Italian centre have translated the content of the English version of the F-Gas course, and the content has been adapted to the country’s specific requirements.
Technicians / engineers will now have a choice to either undertake the theory training in a traditional classroom environment at a specified location or to study online whenever and wherever it is convenient for the candidate or both. Technicians around the country will have the possibility to undertake from their homes in a cost-effective manner without having to stay away from work or incurring in travel and accommodation expenses. Once they have study the material, candidates will attend Centro Studi Galileo assessment centre for a day to carry out the certification test and if required, to undertake practical training prior to the assessment.
