We are currently seeking a Branch Contract Design Engineer or Manager to join the Operations Support team. The job title and level of responsibility would be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. The successful candidate would be based in Derby or Leeds.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Branch Contract Design Team in the technical management of Branch Contracts and be responsible for providing general technical support to ensure that system design, health and safety requirements and plant operation are all in accordance with company standards.
This role is suited to a dynamic individual who enjoys working in an exciting environment, dealing with a variety of situations. Practical experience within the refrigeration industry is desirable.
The successful candidate must have an understanding of the principles of refrigeration and fundamental refrigeration design as well as Diagrams of Connection and Bills of Materials. Understanding operating logs and impact on system performance, understanding of equipment drawings, detailed refrigeration design and PED would be advantageous but is not essential. It would also be beneficial to have an understanding of weld processes and procedures and the ability to review commissioning reports.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Review new Branch Contract documentation in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Ensure consistent application of best practice in the selection and implementation of Branch Contract design solutions.
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support to Star colleagues.
There will a structured training plan for the successful candidate to support them in their new role.
