Leeds

We have 9 branches supporting a network of customers across the UK.  Each branch has a team of field based engineering staff supported by a Management and Admin team.  The role will be based at the Leeds Branch.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Service Supervisor to join our growing team, working in a fast paced environment where the successful candidate will work as part of the team ensuring our reputation of high quality is upheld.
The successful candidate will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for the continuous improvement of service standards, providing direct site support for specified service activity.

Responsibilities

Key duties include a range of responsibilities, which include but are not limited to;

 

People and Processes
  • Undertake planned quality audits and site safety compliance inspections
  • Preparation of site-specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensure compliance with company/customer procedures
  • Coach engineers in good work practice
  • Provide first point of contact for engineers requiring support or guidance;
Financial
  • Assist with workload allocation for engineering resource including stand-by requirements
  • Meet contractual commitments
Customers
  • Ensure work is carried out to appropriate quality and safety standards;
  • Customer care on site
  • Provide advice and guidance on site related issues
Technology
  • Use of company Business Management System
  • Provide onsite support in resolution of system problems as required
  • Identify scope for improvement opportunities

The Candidate

We are seeking a motivated individual who is well organised and able to manage a varied workload, working with multiple stakeholders
The successful applicant should have specialist experience in the commissioning, maintenance and servicing of industrial refrigeration plant using NH3 as well as general experience with HFC systems and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge & experience in areas including:

Key skills and experience

  • Extensive fault-finding and troubleshooting ability and experience;
  • Full understanding of refrigeration principles and fundamentals;
  • Full understanding of electrical and electronic circuits and diagrams;
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with customers;
  • Management and leadership skills with a focus on company values;
  • Supervising staff/subcontractors, including assessing competency, training and development.
