1988 – Three modular refrigeration units headed for the ASDA warehouse at Grangemouth

ASDA was one of the major supermarkets building its own warehouse networks. Star won six out of fourteen contracts placed by major supermarkets at the time, with these three modular units headed for ASDA Grangemouth. Built for the new wave of refrigerated distribution centres, they used the system architecture now embedded in our Azanefreezers.
