Manufacturing
We offer apprenticeships in our manufacturing sites in Glasgow providing training and experience to gain qualifications to work as a Refrigeration Fitter or Welder.
We offer engineering apprenticeship opportunities across the UK, based from our regional branch offices, combining academic learning with on-site work based learning from our experienced engineering teams.
Administration
Our administrative teams provide a responsive, flexible function to support our core business operations – apprenticeships in this area can be based from any Star office, working closely with our highly skilled teams.
25% of our current management team joined the company as apprentices or trainees.
95% of the apprentices complete their 4-year training and nearly all of them have been offered permanent positions.
We recognise the benefits that apprentices and trainees bring to the business and over 10% of our current workforce are in apprentice and trainee roles in various areas. Many of our current employees have also joined us in these roles, which have been the basis for long and successful careers within Star Refrigeration.
