We strive to reach out with our research and educational programmes to create a more sustainable industry. We are committed to increase opportunities for our employees and the wider community and work with a number of organisations including schools, universities, City & Guilds, industry trade associations and the United Nations to deliver high quality educational material related to refrigeration and heating subjects. Star is involved in a range of initiatives aimed at educating young people about opportunities within the engineering sector.
We undertake important efforts to aid in the sharing of STEM knowledge and expertise in order to encourage women to pursue engineering careers and to retain women engineers within the refrigeration sector. Star continues to promote gender diversity in the industry and contribute through a number of projects to help advance understanding of the vital role the refrigeration industry plays in the distribution of food, medicines and internet access, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic as well as sharing experiences about what a career in refrigeration entails.
