Star has Neat solution for Middle East water crisis

Dave Pearson

Director - Star Renewable Energy

With scarce natural water resources and the highest level of water consumption per capita in the world, the UAE relies heavily on seawater desalination facilities for over 90% of its water.

Star has developed a water desalination system powered by renewable energy that produces fresh drinking water at a fraction of the cost of existing processes. Star's NeatDesal uses solar energy and waste heat captured from large district cooling systems to boil and desalinate seawater.
