Established in 1984, Star Refrigeration’s London branch covers a wide geographical area across the South East of England, up through Lincolnshire, to customer sites on the north coast of Norfolk. Based on an industrial estate in Gravesend, the branch has good access to the regional road network and is well placed to service customers across the area.
The core customer base for the London branch features a significant number of key operators in TCS&D, including major retailers and leading logistics companies. The engineering team also provides plant maintenance support for data centres, commercial buildings and businesses with IT and comfort cooling systems.
The London branch team includes nine field engineers, a fast track engineer, two apprentices, management and admin staff. The engineering team has grown over the past two years due to an increased volume of work and there is an ongoing recruitment drive for further engineers.
The London branch has recently seen its customer base bolstered by new maintenance contracts and the expansion of several client portfolios. The branch is responsible for just under 50 customer sites, many for clients with multi-site operations. A number of specialist engineering services which were previously outsourced are now being offered by the highly skilled in-house team.
Customer satisfaction underpins the continued success of the London branch, which has grown a large and loyal client base over the past four decades. The team excels at client retention, with several key accounts with the branch held for in excess of 15 years.
