Femeng

Over the past few years, Star Refrigeration has supported an international collaborative engineering project developed by FemEng -a network aimed at linking together women in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow.
The group has a number of focuses including outreach work with schools, networking events with industry professionals, social activities and international collaborations.
FemEng also successfully pioneered ‘FemEng in Rwanda’ and ‘FemEng in Malawi’  to encourage women into science and engineering fields and is formally affiliated with the Women’s Engineering Society.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Star for supporting the project. Without this support from local businesses, we would not have been able to make such an impact. We’re incredibly excited for the upcoming trip in June, but still have a long way to go to meet our fundraising target.
