Technical Sales Engineer


Location:

Northern England, based from one of our branches in Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester with option of hybrid working

Salary:

Competitive plus company vehicle entitlement and a generous benefits package

Hours:

39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 16:00.

Sales Team

The Technical Sales Engineer will join our UK wide Sales team working with some of the country’s biggest refrigeration customers.  They will be involved in the preliminary design and sale of industrial refrigeration and heating solutions, predominantly using natural refrigerants including ammonia and carbon dioxide.

The Role

Key activities within the role of Technical Sales Engineer include but not limited to;

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customers relationships
  • Develop solution and Sales estimate to meet customer requirements
  • Meeting and exceeding annual Sales margin targets
  • Develop understanding of sales tender submission and handover process
  • Preparation of drawings and calculations for projects

The Candidate

It is expected that the successful candidate will have an appropriate academic background and proven sales experience in a related industry.
The successful candidate must have:
  • Excellent technical and communication skills along with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage their own workload
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred experience includes:

  • Technical sales experience including equipment selection and estimating
  • Understanding of synthetic and natural refrigeration system designs
  • Knowledge of MS software including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
