Star finalist in BBH 2009 Awards
Star Refrigeration is thrilled to be nominated as a finalist for the 2009 Building Better Healthcare Awards.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is the pinnacle of healthcare research and delivery, so it is fitting that they have opted for a long life ammonia chiller. With running costs of 30% less than DX chillers and significant levels of heat recovery, it is estimated that this project will save the GOSH Trust the equivalent of over 7 nurses and enough carbon to go round the world 331 times.
Star faces stiff competition, so fingers crossed that the team at GOSH are rewarded for choosing such a valuable low carbon cooling solution.
Winners are to be announced in November. Watch this space…
