Star Renewable Energy to exhibit at Low Carbon Heat Technology Expo
Star Renewable Energy will be exhibiting at the expo and representatives will be available to chat about their award winning industrial water and air source heat pumps for district heating.
Star Renewable Energy will be exhibiting at The Low Carbon Heat Technology Expo on 17th November at Hamilton International Technology Park.
Organised by Scotland’s Low Carbon Heat Network, HeatSource, the Low Carbon Heat Technology Expo will bring Scottish based suppliers of low carbon heat technology and renewable heat experts closer to organisations up and down the supply chain.
The event will welcome an array of speakers from the public, private, domestic and non-domestic sectors to discuss decarbonisation plans across both new-build and retrofit applications of low carbon heat and energy projects, providing attendees with a better understanding of the pipeline of activity and potential markets in this space.
At their stand, Star Renewable Energy, will be providing information and advice on a range of recently installed water source heat pumps for district heating networks across the UK.
One such example is the ground-breaking 5.2MW district heat pump in Clydebank which provides low carbon heating and hot water for buildings at Queens Quay. The project is the largest of its kind in the UK and was awarded the ‘Heat Pump City of the Year Award 2021’ by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA). The water source heat pump system abstracts heat from the River Clyde in Glasgow to heat a range of residential blocks, offices and leisure centre via district heating, producing an 80% lower carbon footprint than burning gas and sometimes more
Star will also demonstrate the benefits of the recently installed 3MW water source heat pump at Castle Park Energy Centre in Bristol. The heat pump takes water from the nearby floating harbour and uses it to generate heat and hot water for local businesses and residents. The heat network is supplying over 1000 properties with low-carbon heat and continues to expand to new areas across the city. The impressive project also received ‘European Heat Pump City of the Year 2022’ status.
